个人介绍

Prof. Dr. Mark H. Rümmeli is a materials scientist specializing in nanomaterials, advanced electron microscopy, and nanoscale device technologies. His research integrates the synthesis, atomic-scale characterization and manipulation of low-dimensional materials, with particular emphasis on graphene and related 2D materials, single-atom systems, in-situ electron microscopy, sensing, and energy materials. He has published more than 475 peer-reviewed papers, including work in Science, and has built and led internationally connected research laboratories across Europe and Asia. He is currently Distinguished Chair Professor at Anhui Normal University, where he is establishing the SEED Lab (Sensing and Energy Engineering for Device Technologies) to integrate advanced FIB-SEM/electron-ion-beam workflows with smart sensors, battery and energy materials, novel functional materials, and automated AI/ML-assisted experimentation. He also serves as an ERA Chair Professor and founder of the EBEAM Centre for Electron Beam Emergent Additive Manufacturing in Europe.
